Hi everybody.

I lived in the US until the age of 7, then my parents divorced and I went with my mother to Naples, Italy. After 15 years of horrible experiences with camorra (Naples Mafia) I bought a ticket and got back in the states. I'm living with my grandmother in Marks, Mississippi.

In Italy I met the most wonderful and sweet girl in this world, and we have been together for 3 years and I was planning to bring her here through a k1 visa and get married.

Right now I have no income and since I was planning to finally start college I don't and will not meet the income requirements for the affidavit of support. My grandmother is far over the requirements and she would very gladly be her sponsor.

As far as I understood there is no such thing as a k1 co-sponsor and each consulate or embassy may or may not accept it.

Am I wrong? (I really hope so)

What should I do?

yeah there is , if you dont make enough money to support you fiance/wife you can ask somebody to help you and be your co sponsor, and as far as i know most of the embassies are ok with that...

You're not wrong but it'd probably be rare for the Embassy/Consulate in Italy to reject grandma as a co-sponsor. I wouldn't sweat it.

Co-sponsors are accepted by the discretion of the individual Consulate. Certain Embassy's are famous for denials with co-sponsors, others will accept them...

Recommend you go to the European forum to post your question there. I think people who have dealt with your particular Embassy will be better suited to give you prudent advice.

Best of luck.

How old is your grandma? Embassies are not fond of elderly, sickly, unemployed joint sponsors, generally. Although you might not have a problem in Italy, check out the regional forums.

She's 63 and still working. She used to have 2 jobs, now she's retired from one.

Edit: Just wanted to add that you're all wonderful and nice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
