Naturalization & Oath on same day?

Good morning,

I have my naturalization interview coming next week, some one told me that once you pass naturalization interview, they take oath on same day? is this true? Btw it's New Jersey.

It depends if you go on the same day as the oath. I don't believe the oath is done daily. Also, I've heard that if you go before a certain hour for your interview (I think 11 am) and it is an oath day, then they ask you if you want to take the oath. It really depends but I wouldn't count on it to be on the same day.

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

09/12/11 .. Received Yellow letter dated 9/7/11

09/13/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Interview scheduled

09/16/11 .. Received interview letter

10/19/11 .. Interview - PASSED

10/20/11 .. Received text/email: Oath scheduled

10/22/11 .. Received OATH letter

11/09/11 .. Oath ceremony

I had my oath 3 weeks after my interview,, but my mom have oath same day just one hour after her interview, so all depends.

In states like NJ, i doubt it you're gonna have the oath the same day. I had my oath a week after my interview. Omg, what a great feeling! To this day it gives chills down my spine. Very memorable day:). Best of luck to you and enjoy every second of it-it is so worth it :star: :star: :star:
