Just wondering what everyone did for Valentines day for thier sweethearts while they were so far away. I went with flowers to my sweet and to her mother since in less than a year I will have her daughter with me. She sent me some wonderful pics that I loved very much.

How did everyone else make sure thier love knew they were loved?

My husband surprised me with a dinner reservation he made two weeks ago in a lobster place. We had a huge shellfish platter in the evening on Sunday and some drinks.

Last year when I was still in the Philippines and he traveled to Florida, we agreed to light colorful candles together.

What makes relationships better is when you do special things even when it's not a marked calendar day. After all, being together with or without the physical distance is already a reason to celebrate.

To those who are still in the process of obtaining the visa, I hope you make it fast and easy. "You never know how far you've walked until you look back."

God bless us constantly.
