Finally managed to get our AOS sent off on Tuesday, signed for yesterday. We got married back in August and the plan was to send off for AOS as soon as we got back from honeymoon, but my father-in-law (our co-sponsor) lost his job the week before I moved over. Thinking back, my hamster also died that week. Coincidence? I think not.

My husband's Grandma stepped in as co-sponsor but luckily my husband was moved up from part-time to full-time at his job a few weeks back so we were able to file with him as the only sponsor. I'm a little concerned about the income I listed on the i-864 for him, I just worked it out as his hourly rate x40 hours per week for a year, the only thing that may cause a problem is that his paystubs show him earning a lot more than that per week (last week he worked 53 hours), so it may look a little confusing.

I'm also in the "ds-3025 only" club. Mine was marked with the incomplete/blanket waiver option, but it does show 2 doses of MMR (I think I read on here somewhere that you need 2 doses? I may be insane) and VH for chickenpox history so fingers crossed I don't get an RFE for the i-693. And that they haven't lost my medical which seems to be cropping up on the boards a lot lately.

You might get lucky. I did.

Oooh, I just had to add that I just signed in the USCIS website to check on things and I've had a touch yesterday for AP & EAD and apparently 'card production has been ordered for EAD' on the 13th! Whoo hoo! Finally things are moving along! No work on AOS though, not even a touch.

Nice! Hopefully you hear about your AOS soon!!

Congrats on getting it sent off! I hope the process is as smooth for you as it was for Phill and myself. We only sent in the DS-3025. We refused to spend any more money unless we had to. I believe Phill's DS-3025 also said something about the waiver options, but ALL of his vaccines had been done, so we weren't too worried! Here's hoping that you don't get an RFE!

Yeah apparently London never ticks the "vaccinations complete" box. :bonk:

What's with that anyway?? I mean, call me crazy, but if you've had all the vaccinations I'd say they were "complete"! lol

The nurse told me it was because US immigration's rules change all of the time and new requirements come out. Stupid explanation. The box is there so they can tick that you're up to date at the point of the medical! And it's also probably because they don't offer the chicken pox vaccine.

Very good point, didn't think about that!

If you look at the technical instructions for panel physicians and civil surgeons, there are specific instructions telling them how to fill out that section. It says they will almost always tick incomplete/blanket waiver. The reason explained is that most people don't get the whole list. You get a waiver if a shot isn't age appropriate, or if your allergic or if medically contraindicated (like measles shot when pregnant.) There is a list of reasons. A blanket waiver is a general waiver that you don't have to fill out a form for. It's like automatic. So because most of the shots on the list are for babies, adults get a blanket waiver because they aren't age appropriate. That would be marked out to the side of each shot that isn't age appropriate. Just a blank line would mean you probably need it still because there's no date of a shot or a reason why it would qualify for a waiver shown.

Congrats! So happy for you! And welcome to the thread! :)

Update on us: Phill is applying everywhere he can. He's applied at a local farm and ranch store, UPS, and is currently doing Radioshack's tedious questionnaire right now. Poor guy. He's willing to take anything right now until he can get a job in his field. How is everyone else's job search going?

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well! This morning I got a bit of a suprise in the mail - my AP and EAD card!!!! :) I got two AP letters which I was quite suprised at (no actual card) so I suppose thats for 2 entries...

Anyway... I didn't even know they were being sent out to me for sure because for some reason the email notifications have just stopped and my case status online this week said 'card production ordered' for EAD and then it back tracked into 'approved'. Also the AP never reached the 'card production ordered' stage at all. Just thought that info might me useful for others, I don't think the case status site is totally up to date.

But yay! Now to start thinking about working. We've decided I'm going to start looking for something part time in the new year. Also in the back of my mind I'm thinking about going back into Beauty Therapy, but its a little different here (taking a licence exam, plus it might mean going back into studying).

To pass the time however, I'm working on my Etsy bidal jewelry shop like crazy (pls join me on Facebook everyone!)Thats going well!

We also have our AOS interview lined up for 22nd November - I'm a little nervous, but sure it will be ok! :)

Whats everyone else up to??
