Was wondering if anyone can tell me if a fiances' parents have applied for a visa to the U.S. is a red flag. I am sure it is and am sure I have read here before but if it is what can be done proactively to combat this at her future interview?

Phuong's mother applied for a visa once. She was petitioned by her brother. She inexplicably forgot to bring her documents to the interview, so she was denied. The topic never came up at Phuong's interview, and we never mentioned it nor addressed it in any way in any of the documents we submitted for Phuong's visa. If this is a red flag, it's one I'd never heard of.

I agree with Jim, don't ask don't tell. I am sure that this situation has came up more than just with Jim, and I would not worry about it, infact if you brought it up, it might make it a red flag. That is the problem I see with front loading, if you lay out all your cards, some things might have been overlooked, or it might seem that you are trying to hard. I wouldn't sweat it, I am sure it will all work out fine. Jerome

Are we talking about a visitor visa or immigrant? Was it denied or granted? Why? I think the answers to these questions would guide how it is addressed...

Apologize been busy and haven't been able to visit here lately. Her parents were being sponsored by her sister that lives here in the states and interviewed but are being denied as the sponsoring sister did not have enough assets to sponsor them. It was just the parents that were interviewed.

I am going to tell her not to worry about it as if I remember right it would be a possible concern if she had interviewed and been denied but as she has nothong to do with her parents interview she should not be alarmed buy will say to be ready in case they do ask.

The paperwork only asks about previous fiance/spousal visa applications... it likely won't come up... she will likely have to have a stronger case assembled to address any other red flags.. IMO this alone would not be a strong enough red flag to make a difference.

The main flag I have seen so far is I introduced them but I am sure it has been awhile and many people have gone through so they have forgotten me.........hopefully. :star:
