Hello, and many thanks to all that have replied to my questions thus far, I really appreciate it!

My fiance is filling out the DS 156 form, and she has a question about item 14, which asks for National identification number. Is this our case number? Thanks in advance!

In the USA we have SS numbers. In other countries a person may or may not have a ID number. This what Item 14 is asking for.

No, that is the Identification number (if applicable) for her countries ID system. Many countries use a system of National ID Cards with a number. If it applies to your fiance(e)'s country, they should enter the corresponding ID number.
