When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot you if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word 'freeze' or 'stop' in English, see the above lines.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say 'NO!'

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of 'Political Correctness.' I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be 'African-Americans'? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe . I am proud to be from America and no where else!

I agree with most of it, but thought it was hilarious, isn't it cute how the older people get the less they give a ####### about what they're saying and feel entitled to just say it like it is no matter who they insult? LOL... love the honesty !!

I didn't really believe anything, as really I had no idea who Andy Rooney was and had to google him, I just thought it was hilarious and coming from my MIL, lol... I'll be sending her the link above for sure. Even though it wasn't him saying it, it's still pretty funny and I wouldn't be surprised if it came from someone within Andy Rooney's age range

The words Rooney himself used to describe it include "nasty", "mean", and "Viciously racist". If that's your idea of funny, you probably won't find much in common with Mr. Rooney, or those of us who think xenophobia and homophobia are wrong.

I guess I'll have to highlight the bits I agree with, lol... It just sounded to me like some rantings of an older person, which to me is pretty funny, they never seem to mince their words.

I gotta say, some of it makes some sense, like how some kids are lacking parenting like I had (no, I wasn't beaten up, but I wasn't allowed to scream in a market 'cus I wanted X or Y and throw a tantrum when mom said no).

I remembered I was the type that scream loud in the store when I want a video game. I turned out fine. However, I have to agree it's all about parenting. How you manage to raise your kids. Whether they scream loud at the store, or not, you must show your kids who's in charge.

None of that for me, my dad was the type that would if he saw us watching tv, chase us out the house and say "Go play outside" lol...

So racial profiling is a joke? It's fiction and doesn't really happen in America, and doesn't have real effect on the lives of real people?

You're new in this country. I suggest you learn a bit more about this issue and its history before just having a chuckle.
