I'm still not sure about this someone please help. I have 3 questions.

1. Ok my sister is helping me sponsor Natasha for the AOS part. If I have this joint sponsorwhat do I mark on part 1 a book I was reading said select the letter A. for spouses "A. I am the petiotiner, I have filed or am filing for the immigration status of my relative" however in the I-864 instructions it says check box "a" if the petitioner who is filing or who has already filed Form I-130..it only mentions that and forms I-600/I-600A it also says check box "d" if joint sponsor or only sponsor (para-phrasing) so am I right in selcting "D" and not "a"?

2. Also going along with this is part 3 question 8 "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above." I check that box but do I check yes or no? No says "applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors."

3. I guess I just didn't get it but my sister is joint sponsor so I fill out the I-864 and she fills out the I-864A but does she also have to fill out an I-864 also?

Ok thanks in advance I hope to send this off by Monday afternoon then the journey continues

Answer A. You are the petitioner. D says I am the only joint sponsor. You aren't a joint sponsor.

2. Also going along with this is part 3 question 8 "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above." I check that box but do I check yes or no? No says "applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors."

Are you sponsoring her? YES you are. Answer yes.

3. I guess I just didn't get it but my sister is joint sponsor so I fill out the I-864 and she fills out the I-864A but does she also have to fill out an I-864 also?

If sister lives in your house, she does 864A and you would show her income on your I-864 on line 24b and check 24d.

If sister lives anywhere else she does I864 and she checks D on the first part (only joint sponsor.)
