We got the emails and texts tonight that our applications have been received and accepted, and Peter's I-94 expired back in October, so you'll be more than okay, cdnangel. We might get some flack for home translating his birth certificate because, as one might guess, there are no Danish translators in NJ that don't want to charge an arm and a leg for it. We're bracing for the RFE if they wanna complain about it, but we're not shelling out the stupid amount of cash until then. The $1070 fee was enough, plus the $200 for his medical. Oy vey.

I hope the wounds heal soon, poacher. Those bears.. they can be vicious.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

If I already took the medical in Toronto, and have a copy of my vaccination records. Can I accompany that record with my medical receipt? Or do I seriously have to pay for another medical here in the US? I mean, I'm covered by TriCare because I have a Military Spouse card. But I had OHIP in Canada and I still had to pay out the butt for my medical at the panel physician.

Hey Everyone, Just to let you all know that we are in fact, still alive and was not taken away by aliens or indeed kidnapped by hobbits....or even donkeys lol.....no starving midgets have cooked and eaten us either.

Glad to hear everyone's getting on with the next step....we had all our bi metrics done...and like Poacher we also got a RFE...but we did what they requested and are now waiting to hear back from them....difference is I guess now, we are all together so the RFE isnt a heart break or as feared as it was this time last year right?

OMG its actually a year since we all started this process, now I look back it seems to have flown by but during the feb-sept seemed to take forever. I actually managed to get the business online and up and running...thanks to Ken :) Wouldn't have done it without him...its www.fantasyjewelrygoddess.com you are all most welcome to go check it out and let me know what you think.

I love reading on what you've all been doing, life is a lot busier than we thought...lol...well maybe not. Our youngest started Ballet...so adorable. Our son signed up for Baseball (little league) so I hope that he settles down and enjoys it. They are both fully settled into school and I'm sorry to say that our daughter has now totally lost her English accent and is full on American lol....that didn't take long :(

Anyway, I hope that you and your wonderful spouses are all well and keeping warm (so much snow, the kids love it)

So glad to see you, Em! I was wondering how you were doing. :) So happy to hear the kids are settling in.. I did little league when I was your son's age but I wish I had done ballet instead, haha.

Well, here it is Feb. again! And look how far we have gone since this time last year!!!

I have been sooooo busy staring into the abyss of nothing. I am waiting & waiting for spring to come. I am tired of being unemployed & sitting at home. I am though taking a couple of night classes to give me something to do, but it's hard to do them when they keep getting cancelled from the bad weather! UGH!

I should be getting my AP & EAP in a couple of weeks. That will be nice because then I can start collecting unemployment from Canada. So, I think I will ride that for a bit...LOL!

Just 2 more months & we have the Kid Rock Cruise! Can't wait. New Orleans to Cozumel! It will be a huge sloshfest!

Poacher, that is great you 2 are getting a trip to the USVI! I love it down there! Which island are you going to?

Lohninck & UK, great to hear all is going well!

Bri...just send in a photocopy of the vaccination worksheet as long as you are all up to date with your shots. No medical needed again.

Vanessa, hang in there! 1 more month!!!!

Hope all is well with everyone & stay warm. This winter is having a hard time letting go!

Those are all gorgeous, UK! Once I have a stable job and more expendable income you can bet I'll buy a couple of those bracelets for sure. :) If they're still there when I do get a job, haha.

We got our bio letter yesterday, we're very happy and pleasantly surprised at how fast the system is moving. Figures that once we're all together and waits don't seem so bad, they're much shorter.

One of my stones fell out of my engagement ring a couple weeks ago :( we're getting it repaired, but in the meantime, Peter came into the basement storage while I was looking for something and proposed to me with the first ring he bought me back in 2006 so my finger isn't lonely. He's still as adorable as the day I met him.

We were at Target yesterday and he bought flashcards about US states, their capitols, and US presidents. He's going to be a better American citizen than me when the time comes, sheesh.

Vanessa has her medical today..... one more step out of the way.

Just a little over a month until FINALLY getting her interview...

Luckily I'm going up to visit her later this week, so that will take some pressure off of things... With any luck we'll have her here the beginning of May after all is settled.

I tackled the medical this morning! Wooooooo!!!!...lol

I was super nervous because I didn't really have the Tetnus shot on record with Toronto Public Health. I had the shot last year, but it was never recorded with them. All I had was a signature of the nurse who gave it to me on my old 'yellow card' that I've had since I was a baby. I guess that was all they needed ;)

I got there at 6:10am thinking there would be maybe 1 or 2 people ahead of me, considering I was informed that they would open the doors at 6:30. Boy, was I wrong! There were 8 people ahead of me. 4 of them were already being processed when I got there. 6:30am my a**! lol Glad I got there when I did though. There had to be 20 people by the time I left. All went well though. Not the friendliest of doctors, but considering how busy they are, I guess it's all buisiness to them.

Going to pick up my results/Xray on Thursday.

Next thing for me to do, after Paul has his vist here on the weekend, is to book my Hotel in Montreal and a Via rail ticket! ;)

I can't believe that we are almost there!!!!! We are one of the last of the February filers.....and it feels pretty darn good to be caught up with everyone else!

Stay warm everyone! ;)

We got a text this afternoon of an RFE for our AOS case, boo. I think I know what it is though, I don't think I included proof of my co-sponsor's citizenship or some b/s like that. It seems like more people get RFEs with AOSes than anything else. So it goes, I'm not as flustered as I was last time. My birthday's tomorrow so this isn't the best gift one can receive, but I'll deal.

My Dear Feb 2010 K1 fillers!!!!

Missing this forum very much... I've been writing in the AOS NOV 2010... My case is a bit slow lately, they transfer my case back in Jan to California, they don't touch me, don't look at me or talk, i guess i am not attractive anymore to the CSC, lol.

But at least i haven't received any RFE, knock on wood... That would stress me more, is hard after the other procedure to start this one in the same situation with a waiting period not a pleasant one!!!

Big hug you guys, going to make some tacos, nothing better to do than try new recipes for the hubby and hope he doesn't intoxicate with my cooking lol...

Glad to hear from you, solmarc! I post in the January AOS thread but it's not the same as this place, you guys are my VJ family, donkey and midget and all. I'm glad our last Feb 2010 filers are getting ready to move on to the best parts.. weddings, wee! Let's see more wedding pictures, people!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.
