Hello,

I've sent off my AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) on 2/1/10. I've attached the marriage certificate to the I-130 package, not to the I-485 package. Is this correct?

I've read a few forum entries where people supposedly attached the marriage certificate to the I-485. However, from what I read when I assembled the package, this was only required on the I-130. Am I right?

Thanks!

Let me add to this: I'm adjusting from F1 status, not K1 or anything else. I'm concurrently filing I-485 with I-130. I've re-read the I-485 Instructions, especially the "15. Evidence of Eligibility" point. I believe that my eligibility is:

... "A. Based on Immigrant Petition", in which case the instructions only demand

... "attach a copy [...] or submit a complete relative [...] petition that, if approved, well make a visa number immediately available to you."

There is no demand for marriage certificate mentioned. Isn't the I-130 the "complete relative petition" for this eligibility category? Am I interpreting this correct? Please help?
