My fiance (now, my hubby ^_^) and I got married in the civil court last week! :D :D Now our next step is to apply for my AOS and Advance Parole (we also would want to have a church wedding in the Philippines). I've been reading the steps here on the VJ site and they look more complicated than ever because of so many papers to file! Any suggestions on how to make these next steps easier for us as possible?

Thanks in advance! :)

Congrats! Just follow the guides for your AOS and you will be ok. It's not as difficult as you think. You will be ok as long as you fill in the forms correctly and give them the documents that they need. Good luck to you!

make a list after reading the aos forum and the guides - and then go from there. having the initial k-1 packet can help with filling out some of the forms.

i do hope you got the ds-3025 from the medical - that may save you some hassle. look at the link in this thread for the civil surgeon locator posted by philandshir to get your ds-3025 transcribed

Congratulations!!

You have some good suggestions already. In additon I would reuse as much as possible from the I-134 for the I-864, such as tax transcripts, employment letter, etc. Also, look at the VJ Exampe Forms. The link is just under the search boc above.
