That's what I did too. Also, any emails, phone records, or letters through the postal system help show proof of relationship. I made copies of four phone bills highlighting the international text messaging between me and my fiance, printed out four emails between the two of us, and made a copy of an envelope that had a card that my parents sent to me while visiting my fiance during Christmas. I highlighted all the dates of these and put sticky notes on them explaining how they showed proof of relationship.

Emails, phone records and letters DO NOT prove you met in person in the two years previous to filing the petition. NO AMOUNT of un-needed information will make up for what is needed. Un-needed information in addition to needed information will not hurt, but does not help.

You need PRIMARY (boarding passes, passport stamps, reciepts, etc.) that you were in the country with her. Return stamps to the USA will not help unless she was with you and has USA stamps in her passport to submit. Boarding passes are great.

You Need SECONDARY evidence you met in person...photos, for example, of the two of you together

You need evidence you are a US citizen (it is OK to be a dual citizen)

This all must be dated within two years BEFORE you sent the petition, anything dated after is proof of relationship, NOT proof of meeting in person prior to filing the petition.

If you already sent this (you said you did) SEND COPIES OF IT AGAIN! It would appear they lost it. If you sent originals and did not keep copies, you are, as they say, SOL and plan on another trip and re-filing...you will be denied.

I do not have stamps in my passport when arriving in Europe, because I am a European citizen, too. But I sent them a copies of the stamps when I arrived back in USA, boarding passes, tickets and dated photos.

Proof of returning to the USA is not proof of being in your fiancee's country of residence. It's that's all you have available dated in the two years prior to filing the petition, then expect a petition denial. You can file again when you have primary evidence of meeting in person during the past two years.

Sorry was just trying to help. I HAD stated in a previous post here that this person should make copies of their airline tickets/boarding passes, receipts of hotels from when they stayed together, etc... I apologize.

No need to apologize and adding that stuff won't hurt (some people recommend it for difficult consulates) but it is not proof of meeting in person. It is good relationship evidence.

Very true. I have to say, this is one case where date stamped photos come in handy to help back up the meeting in person evidence. I always made sure my camera had the date stamp feature on when Phill and I visited each other, so we would have those photos to put us in the places that our receipts and such were from.

It is true they sometimes ask for date stamped photos, though officially they do not accept date stamps on photos, for exactly the reason you mention. "You make sure...." Anyone can change the date on a camera...or not change it. All my date stamped photos from Ukraine are 7 hours off in time.

Photos are secondary. I sent exactly ONE, non-date stamped photo in a completely unidentifiable location of us together, but also passport stamps and boarding passes. Together that is enough to support the description and qualify the petition. It really doesn't matter where you meet in person, or how you get there. But if you say you "met in London on January 30, 2010" and show photos of you together, then there ought to be something showing you were in London on January 30, 2010, or at least in the UK. It isn't a court and they do not need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, just plausible documentation.

Just be aware that photos, dated or not are SECONDARY evidence when it comes to meeting in person. Your receipts, passport stamps and boarding passes were your PRIMARY evidence of meeting in person. Photos are excellent as one among several forms of relationship evidence.
