Approved pending name check. Experience with USCIS to this point makes me think it less likely I will receive my Green Card and more likely I'll be dragged away to Guantanamo Bay by mysterious men in black jumpsuits.

Not that I've become cynical and embittered or anything.

:lol::lol:

I dunno...I'd be happier hearing something.....even though the stamp is good for one year......still want the welcome letter, and have that green card in my hand....then I will relax.

Relax and be patient :)

I was also approved in July, posted interview story in other thread, got Welcome Notice already and two other emails after that - that new card was ordered and approval notice mailed - - - all this notices are confused but I figured that the last approval notice is actuall green card.

I am very happy I got through that, hopefully in two years it won't be a problem to remove conditions.

06 December 2005 - entered US on tourist visa

08 February 2006 - got married

06 March 2006 - 15 March 2006 - medical exam done

15 March 2006 - I-485 package sent to Chicago Lockbox

21 March 2006 - USCIS received papers

24 March 2006 - notice date for I-130,I-485,I-765 (28 March 2006 - received NOA for I-130,I-485,I-765)

01 April 2006 - I-130, I-485, I-765 touched

06 April 2006 - Notice date for biometrics appointment (received on 13 April 2006)

29 April 2006 - Biometrics done

06 May 2006 - I-765, I-145 touched

08 May 2006 - I-765, I-130 touched

03 June 2006 - I-765 touched

06 June 2006 - Interview letter arrived

07 June 2006 - e-mail received: EAD approved !!!

09 June 2006 - EAD card received in mail

12 June 2006 - applied for SSN

26 June 2006 - SSN arrived

25 July 2006 - Interview

APPROVED!!!

31 July 2006 - Welcome Notice arrived

4 August 2006 - GREEN CARD ARRIVED !!!!

I am back!!!

Everything went SO well... I am expecting some major screw up!!

I wont be calm and collected until I have the GC in my hands.

I got welcome notice and I got the USCIS email too. So I am hoping that I'll get it this weekend? Do you have to be at home to receive it? What if they take it back and return as undeliverable??

See? Im panicking!! Cant help it!!!!

Received approval yesterday as well! No stamp here either though.

I am married to a USC. I was interviewed on july 28th, 2006 got verbal approval right there and then. Listen to this, couple of days before my interview i had realized that i have lost my passport and couldn't find it at all so i called up my lawyer and asked her if i should reschedule my interview she advised against it. She said that the only reason they need your passport at the interview is to make sure that it is you. I used my (valid) drivers license instead and told the IO that i had lost my passport and am trying to get a new one. I got verbal approval after a total of 7 minute interview and yesterday i got my welcome letter and that my GC should arrive in the next 3 weeks. I AM SO HAPPY! I had been out of status since 2002 and have been working since then without any status because i had been lucky enough that i had never been asked for any identification in my last 3 jobs that i have worked at. I thought i'd share my story with you all as i have been reading our posts since my interview.

Thanks.

Hubby's interview was on 07/20/2006, approved in basically 2 minutes LOL -- approval notice arrives a week later, then the green card the next day (07/28/2006) :D

Note: I checked USCIS's online status for his case and it was updated about 2 days after the interview stating that an approval notice had gone out. I then got an email that said his green card request had been entered and they would mail it as soon as it was made, on 07/24/06 and we got it a few days later.

And we had been all worried because his green card interview was less than a month before we were moving, so were afraid the card would get returned/lost :crying: <-- :P

Pretty speedy process from Detroit AOS, good luck to everyone :)

My interview was July 28th. We were told we were approved. No stamp, but he took my I-94. As of yet, no update and I'm NOT being very good at waiting patiently.

I wish it would hurry up!!

Hi,

I would advise you to wait a little more, mine was approved on july 28th as well and i just got my welcome letter yesterday saying that my case has been approved. You'll get yours too soon.

thanks

Hi,

I finally received my "Welcome to the USA" letter today, with a notice date of July 28th (same day as my interview).

my case status online however has not been touched since 6/1/06.

It says that I should be receiving the GC in the next 3 weeks.

I'm so happy that I've finally got some form of notice stating that I am approved, rather than just a verbal approval from the officer. I fell that I can stop panicking so much now, although will not be completely happy until I have the GC in my hands!!

Good Luck to everyone else who is waiting.

Clara :D
