The more I think about this, the more it Piszes me me off! :protest: When I see couples like Huong and Phung and others denied month after month, and then I read about cases like this one getting approved, it really shows how screwed up the system is.... :ranting:

How can a CO approve this?

We don't know everything about their "love" story. His "few" words describing the story might leave out important detail(s). She might have been pretending her love for him so well-planned that he or the Consulate couldn't detect. That girl is not smart though, given her age of only 23, to carry out her plan all the way to the end. That is patiently waiting til the day she has her hands on the perm 10-year GC to show her real face. He (the OP of the other thread) should be thankful that at least she gives him an early warning. Things would be a lot worse, when she chooses the other route. Some people are impatient I guess.

When you visit someone half the world away, for only a few days to months, you probably won't see every side/angle of that person's life. Only when you two live together, with careful observation, you might detect the other person's real objective.

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!

Geez, from the little information provided my initial thoughts would most certainly be "hokey pokey". This would at least certainly be the time for them to be living together trying to work things out. It sure sounds fishy to me. "Niece of my best friends wife"??? Possibly a large age disparity? Looking for little hints in the info available leads me to alot of big questions. I tend to agree with Scott. They either did a good job pulling the wool over someones eyes or there is alot here that is not being seen.

I know that we still have much to learn about each other but we spend our days and nights together learning and growing together, after all isnt that the intent. If there is not a willingness to grow together and make all the efforts to love and be loved by both parties, then maybe one does not belong.

Blessings to brother Scott and all those who are willing to put their heart and souls on the line for EACH OTHER. Love is not and never can be a one way street!!!

Just yesterday I was telling my son that Thuy and I spent a great deal of time early on, discussing what we wanted from life and what our goals are in life.. values etc... A relationship IMO is two people that are there for each other no matter what... and to be there for someone else.. we must know the other persons direction and desires...

Think about what you and Doan were feeling that time after you initially went to pick up the visa.... You both wanted to be together and here something was in the way... that one hurdle the CO threw in front of your guys... nothing could keep you from being apart and you overcame that hurdle as well and are together now without anything in the way... I can't imagine Thuy coming here and living with someone else.... I thought the visa was so we could be together and be married... Ask Doan if she wants to go stay with a friend for a few months and see what she says.. likely the same thing Thuy would say... NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Yeah, I agree! When I read the link I was shocked. It sounded very fishy to me. I know the bond our group has formed here and I wouldn't think for a second that anyone I have become "friends" with here in this portal would do something as I read in that post. Doan is having some home sickness but it brings us closer together. We are here for each other to support each other in every way possible. I understand how difficult it is for her. Saturday night we were supposed to go to a party but she was feeling very home sick. She said "You go and have fun and I will stay home". My reply was "No Darling, I will stay right here by you side. We can meet up with friends anytime but I want to be beside you especially when you are in need of my love and support". I could never imagine leaving her alone in a time like that. I held her in my arms all night and comforted her. However I can imagine the person in that other post probably would have went out with the boys! I know you and Jim and others would react the same as I did, with all our love and support. I couldnt imagine it any other way!

JUST A FEW MORE HOURS SCOTT!!! MY GOSH I AM TINGLING ALL OVER AGAIN JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU TWO!!!

BEST WISHES BRO!!!!

Just ate a huge bowl of Pho so now I am really relaxed. I may be lucky enough to take a nap soon.. Wish I could say the same for Thuy.. She just got up as she couldn't sleep with everything from our case going through her head... She said she is so affraid that they will confuse her with questions... I told her to manage the interview.. don't let it manage her... she will be fine...
