Receipt # is invalid...

hi we just received our NOA for EAD, AP, & AOS but when I tried adding our case to our existing account under USCIS "Check My Case Status" it says that the receipt number is invalid... any hints on what's going on??? thanks...

It could be that there is a delay in entering your wife's information into the database. Try again in a few days and if after a week or so she is still not listed, call the MisInformation Line (1-800 number) and speak to a representative. Hopefully, he/she will escalate your call to an immigration officer and you can get some information. Good luck. (Assuming you didn't make a typing error and did enter the number correctly, ).

Often times, especially with AOS, they never put some of the numbers in the computer. Our AOS # didn't work for about 3 months after we submitted it but the AP worked right away and the EAD worked after a month. Call the hotline and make sure the numbers are correct, but don't be overly concerned.
