As long as the photo meets the stated requirements (be careful becasue the paper must be the correct stock also - you cannot just print it on any paper). If your printer at home is capable of printing on the correct paper weight, gloss, etc.. and the subject in the photo meets the defined requirements then it is not a problem

However I would not recommend it. Most home printers to not provide the type of finish required (unless you have a fairly high tech print shop in your home). Its not quite as simple as I made it sound in my initial reply - sorry about that). Better to go and have them taken at a photo shop or pony express or something like that. Usually only about $8-$10 for a set of 4 photos (depending on the market you live in).

Does anybody know if the passport photos can be taken and printed from a home computer with a digital camera?

Yes, you can and I was able to do that. I used Adobe Photoshop to edit and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 using my HP printer and HP photo paper which have the perfect texture to print on.

The Adobe Photoshop Elements have the option for you to choose the size of your prints and the size of the paper you are going to print on.

I would feel more comfortable getting them done rather than doing them myself but I live in Mexico and I can't seem to find a trustworthy place that will do AMERCIAN passport pics.

2007-08-21Met through dating site

2007-10-12Hubby's first visit/met me and picked him up in Davao International Airport

2007-10-17Officially engaged to my one and only love hubby & formally proposed in front of my family

2007-10-22Flew back to the US

2008-02-022nd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Cebu International Airport

2008-02-04Went into the US embassy Cebu to get his certificate of legal capacity

2008-02-05Flew back together into Davao City and drove to Tagum City

2008-02-27Our awaited precious moment the WEDDING DAY!!!!

2008-03-04Hubby Flew back to the US

2009-05-013rd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Hong Kong International Airport
