What do i do? I don't want to reschedule my interview if i can help it, and i don't have the money to try out the other panel doctors in BC or in Montreal. Man the waiting was bad enough now this stress is a bit much LOL anyways this sucks but i guess it could be worse....

Keep trying their office, they returned my call the same day. Is it possible for you to go to the office in person to make the appointment? The day I went they opened the doors by 6:45 a.m. Good luck.

Or just show up at 6 AM Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and tell them the situation; as I understand it, visa medicals are done first come, first served at Dr. Seiden's. They'll probably just tell you to have a seat and do your medical right then (make sure you have everything necessary, of course; mostly your passport, passport photos, and packet 3 / 4).

Is there usually a long wait list for medical appointment at Dr. Seiden's in Toronto or can you pick a date when you call? I have not called yet and want to schedule something for first week of Feb.

It's fairly normal for people applying through Vancouver to have their medical the same day as the interview. In this situation, people go to the medical early in the morning, attend the interview early in the afternoon, then go get the medical results and return to consulate. What they told me at the interview was that I was "approved pending the medical results." Montreal may do something similar.

DON'T PANIC

When did you first call? They will call you back if you leave a message explaining your situation with a call back number. When I tried to book an appointment it took them 4 days to call me back, but they did.

If you can't get an appointment in Toronto, then is is possible to go to Montreal a couple days before your interview and have your medical done there? Like Krikit said, even if you are unable to have it done in time, this does not mean a denial, simply a delay in your visa being approved and processed. Unfortunately since Montreal is rather backlogged and slow in receiving and processing information at the moment, the delay may be a little longer than it has been in the past.

Thanks for the replies everyone. But i emailed them this morning and left a couple more messages LOL and i have an appointment next Monday so that gives me enough time to get the physical done, pick it up then travel to Montreal for my interview the following Monday.

Congrats on getting your appointment. :)

Wow...things have changed so much since I had to go through all of this 3 years ago! I remember calling and having someone answer and making my appointment right there and then.

I can't imagine what it's like to go through it now!

Well i'll figure that i will post my review for the physical here.

I had a plan to arrive early and i suggest anyone going to do their medical here in toronto arrive early before the doors open at 6:30am. I missed the 5:26am go-train from pickering so i was stuck to get there later than what i wanted to. I arrived at 7am walked up the the glass shielded counter and handed my interview letter to the attendant then was asked to move to the waiting room, as a had feared by missing the early train the waiting room was PACKED!!!! right down to the childrens play chairs that are not comfy to sit in LOL. From here things and timings get sketchy since i didn't have a watch, probably why i missed the train in the first place LOL So after what seemed like an eternity my name was called and all i heard was my name and follow me and before i could look up the person i was to follow was gone, this happened often so pay attention LOL i was in and out of sleep. The first call was for paying and documents passport and photos and vaccines records or titers test. From there it was back to a narrow hallway for a chest x-ray, i had to either put my chain in my mouth or take it off i took it off, from here i went to the lab for blood work, don't forget to grab all your paper work as you move along to the different stations. After blood work it was back to the waiting room until my name was called again. Again in and out of sleep felt like forever, waiting room still full got a grown up chair this time woohoo...armrests LOL Then my name gets called for my actual physical i get into a room a nurse takes my BP asks my height and weight but never actually takes it and tells me to get naked and put on the blue gown opening to the back, thanks for the info its not like i wanted my junk hanging out the front LOL. From here a female doctor walked in and began to ask me questions regarding my medical history and what not after that was done she left then a male doctor examines me and says ok take your stuff and don't forget to check out when you leave. There is a little piece of paper you get when you pay that lists everything that needs to be done, you hand that little paper at check out. At check out the time was 9:45am so from start to finish it was close to 3 hours. The pick up wich was yesterday went much simpler, walk up to counter go to the end of the hall to the right, give my name and then 2 packs one sealed DO NOT OPEN i was told and my x-ray.

So lessons to be learned arrive early as planned and oh yeah wear a damn watch LOL
