Gud day everyone! To those who know sumthing about my concern:

I already have my visa, it has been delivered to me on dec 7 last yr.. The visa is valid until may 19, 2010. My fiance and I were planning to get married on May, I was hoping to leave on the last week of April since I still have my work here in PAL and I can't leave my job yet because im still waiting for the result on my inquiry to the company regarding the benefits i will get. (I was about to receive 4 sets of roundtrip tickets and cash for my service but to be given on May) My question is, will I still be able to make it if I move my flight on May 10 (granting that my visa is still valid for entry to the US)? 'coz I was thinking that the immigration officers in my point of destination (GUAM) might throw questions on me why I left philippines that late..

One more thing.. Me and my fiance are both ministers of the same church.. since i cant leave the philippines soon until may, we decided to ask you guys if we can do sumthing about this:

We were about to attend a seminar in Malaysia on June 6, 2010. I know it would be impossible for me to attend it if I have already entered Guam by May. But is there any possibility that we can adjust the validity date of my visa? pls don't get me wrong with this. This conference is very important for me and my fiance to attend together to.. We were just hoping if we can do something about it.. Then marriage takes place after the conference.

If I can't do something to adjust my status then I would definitely leave on May 10, But if by chance there is a way to attend the conference, we will be very glad about it! smile.gif

We would appreciate your response.. Godbless everyone!!

Visas can sometimes be extended, but I think you need a more compelling reason than a conference. You shouldn't run into problems entering the US, especially since your reason for waiting was for work, which makes sense in this economy!

I agree. Just attribute missing the conference as one of the sacrifices you make to be together. We all have to or have made them. Your visa is valid for use until its expiration date. No need to worry about explaining your reasons.
