My fiance is getting records from her bank in Puerto Rico. What exactly does she need from the bank? Transaction records, and a letter from the bank stating that she has an open account there? Thanks

Are you using assets to cover the poverty level needed?

If not - you just need a letter from her employer, and the most recent tax year transcripts.

If she has significant savings, she can get a letter saying what her balance is and the average balance over the last 12 months.

It's not needed if she meets employment requirements and has a letter from her employer and paystubs.

Sorry to jump in, but I have a question on this process also.

Since I am filing a K-1 for my fiance, am I the one that has to provide the bank statements and does it have to be 12 months of deposits? Is she required to fillout this form also? As far as the letter of employment, do I need to just get a letter from my employer that states that I am employed, the date hired, and my salary paid, and must it state if my position is fulltime?
