At first I thought maybe it was a the keyboard, but I switched it to mute which you cannot change the volume setting while in mute, you'll just cancel the mute mode...and it still gradually goes down to zero. I've searched and read that some others have had similar problem but no answer as to why it is happening or how to fix it.

Has anyone had this problem in Windows?

 Haven't had that one - but I remember all sorts of weird ###### that happened to my old Vista comp. Media center would open and immediately crash, photo viewer would not display any photos, and every so often the system would start up with an unscheduled disk check.

Piece of #######.

My work computer (which has Vista and is the only relevant part of my comment!) won't let me sign on. It tells me I have 'breached the trust relationship.' Even my tech admin is stumped.

My computer broke up with me.

Maybe yours doesn't like your music :)

 is your mouse cold?

I disconnected my wireless mouse and it still moves down to zero. :(

Might be the volume button on your keyboard? Maybe it stuck.

My Toshiba laptop has no volume button...none of the function keys control the volume either.

I've been thinking about it. Maybe a Windows update did this to get me to go out and buy Windows 7?
