When we initially applied for our k1 i was living in my country of citizenship in europe

I now work in a france (been here for just under 6 months)

I received my packet 3 from my home country embassy and went ahead and got my medical and filled out paperwork using my new french address.

Upon ringing them to inquire about an interview date they told me they can not find biographical info and that I would have to resend it ( which is fine) but also that my case would have to be transferred to the embassy in france. Also stating that I would have to retake my medical in france.

Obviously I would like to continue with the process in my country of citizenship as we are almost there with regards to our application.

The k1 process is long as you all know just wondering has anybody any knowledge on this issue?

Any info is helpful -Thanks

Why wouldn't you want to just have your interview in the country where you're not residing which is France? I'd just email your "home" country Embassy, tell them you're now in France, and have them transfer your file. Your biographical information will be in the package they send the Embassy in France. Who is saying they don't have your biological information?

I also don't see why you'd have to have another medical in France if you've already got one done.

I have no specific information on the Embassy in France, and frankly, don't even know what your "home country" is but people often transfer their cases to another Embassy to interview where they are currently residing.
