Good afternoon my fellow VJ'erz! Is there any way to cancel our K-3 approval and stay with the CR-1? I only applied for it because I was advised by USCIS, saying go with the K-3 to get my husband in the U.S. quicker!

I believe I read somewhere that you will need to send a letter to the NVC saying that you wish to abort the K-3 route and go with CR-1 instead...this would be before an interview would be scheduled

When I called NVC and asked if I can concurrently pursue both K3 and I-130 they said that they will proceed with both but they will stop K3 if I send in a written letter. If you want to cancel your K-3 you probably should send in a written letter to NVC.
