What is the processing time for 2nd preference, (green card holder father bring unmarried adult son)

for Pakistan

any idea...

from filing to interview date

Look at the visa bulletin to see which petitions are eligible for visas. The Priority Date (PD) is the day that USCIS receives the I-130. When the PD date becomes current in the Visa Bulletin, the beneficiary becomes eligible to apply for a visa. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_1360.html

4-5 years in the F2a category; LPR petitioning for an unmarried child under age 21.

8-9 years in the F2b category; LPR petitioning for an unmarried child over age 21.

A beneficiary in the F2a category moves to the F2b category when that person turns 21. CSPA may offer relief and it is not possible to guess at this at the beginning of the process.

The beneficiary getting married while the petitioner is still an LPR or the death of either the beneficiary or petitioner will end the case.
