Too funny!! No bed bug pet sin my room, but another VJ member stated they had them

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yipes - did you read the other locations as well? Number 4 and 7 sound especially disgusting!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

They all sound pretty gross.

I've been tricked by the old "Lobby looks amazing" thing.

When I stayed in New York during my POE problems, the Lobby of the hotel was amazing, but the rooms and halls were disgusting.

Wont ever stay there again. (It was the Sheradon @ JFK I believe.)

LOL! Wow, that's kinda awesome! ... Except that it's not. haha Glad we decided to not stay there! Thanks VJ! lol

I have one I could DEFINITELY put on that list that is in downtown London here. My fiance and I stayed there at a last minute decision in November because my roommate was having her girlfriends over to spend the night. It was dirty, bad service, the elevator was SCARY, and bedsheets were stained and had cigarette burns, I found leftover razors in the linen closet, the internet didn't work, they didn't even have breakfast! Nothing! sigh. Yeah, that was good times. It was the London Executive Suites.

Good price, good layout of rooms (formerly apartments), good location... but NOT WORTH IT!!

Oh yeah, the internet didnt work for me either, nor did they offer breakfast

It was about $100 that night too, ouch.

I did stay in a really nice hotel in Toronto once. I forget which one it is, but it was gorgeous. Everything was so clean and the internet was free. The pool was under repair though which bumbed me out. (I missed my plane due to weather)

I stayed in one with the same star ranking as the Hilton in Montreal.

Best hotel I've ever been in.

We stayed in the Hilton as well and I'm really glad we did! Especially after reading that review.

I need to laugh for a second because I've driven past the Arkona Motel in Niagara Falls a million times and each time I think to myself, "why on earth would someone stay there?!" I mean, just looking at it makes you cringe. It looks dirty and dingy from the outside, I can't even imagine what the inside looks like! I just looked it up online and It's not even cheap!

I stayed there. My signature should explain my ordeal well enough, I think. The funniest thing was the hotel staff tried to pass the whole incident off saying "there was no fire...someone just fell asleep in the tub with the water on." That definitely was a lie since the corridors was filled up with smoke, and someone was taken out of his room on a stretcher, covered with a sheet.

Needless to say, I didn't sleep a wink that night and arrived at my interview a jittery nerve-wracked mess lol.
