Please read this, need some advise

My case,

K1 fiancee visa,

interview completed at August 2008, Abu Dhabi/UAE

approved my case pending admin processing,

AP completed after 16 months,

My fiancee Admin Processing is completed after 16 months and the embassy showed her case number on their web site. So i sent them an email if the visa is ready to be picked up by my fiancee and this is how they replied.

Please be advised that admin processing on this case is completed, we are waiting for the applicant passport to process the visa, but visa is not ready yet.

Can some one tell me why the visa is not ready yet? is it because the she needs to do a new medical and finger print?

i have seen for some applicants on this forum that the embassy takes the passport and return it to them without a visa being issued. Do i have to expact that, or maybe a second interview?

My fiancee is going to dropp off her passport on this coming sunday. So i will keep you posted if anything happens. Please advise and any input will be appriciated.

It means exactly what it says. The visa is applied to a page of the passport. They can't process the visa without having the passport to put it on.

Maybe, it has been more than a year since the previous.

Call the consulate and ask, but I would expect they would have included that in the email if they wanted it redone.

I e-mailed the embassy if a new medical is required, they did not answer my question and asked for the passport only.

If it has been more than 12 months since the medical exam was done, you are going to need a new one. . . police certificates too. . . . Did they call or write you for the passport or just tell you in the email? Have you received anything from them since the approval? The email is not normally the correspondence you get for the passport/medical exam/police cert request. . .

They showed the case number on the embassy web site. I sent them e-mail if the admin processing is over, and they sent me an e-mail saying admin processing is over and they need my fiancee passport.

I didn't say to email them. I said to call them. Tel. 011 971-2 414 2200 -- Ask for the immigrant visa section.
