Maybe I’m missing something. Please can someone read this very carefully! My husband’s case was completed on Sept 24-09 he has not been scheduled an interview for January. I’m thinking I may be missing a packet 3 and 4 can someone tell me what this is, and could it be holding him up for being scheduled an interview.

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in your hearts you can overcome anything.

packet 3 for k1 is informationyou need to collect fill out forms and send in to the embassy, after this you have the medical and then packet 4 is the interview letter with a sheet explaining what to bring to the interview.

Call the DoS and ask about the status of the case.. NVC could also give some insight possibly but IMO DoS is easier to deal with and dont just read scripts...

My case is CR-1, so what would packet 3 and 4 mean for me?

You won't get a packet 3 and 4. If your case has been completed at NVC, the next thing you do is wait to receive the letter informing you of your interview date. There is nothing else you ned to do right now. NVC claims they schedule interviews the second week of each month. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you will be scheduled for an interview right away. It really depends on the case load of the consulate and when they are abe to interview you or your spouse.

Hope this helps

Best Wishes
