K-1 vs. IR-1/CR-1

After reading a LOT posts under different categories and reading the timelines of different people, it appears that IR-1/CR-1 takes about the same time as K-1, maybe 1 month longer on average.

A big plus of IR-1/CR-1 is being given a Green Card upon entry, which is a HUGE plus in my opinion for someone that has established professional relations in the US and may have a job lined up and waiting.

OTHER THAN getting to know your fiance(e) before marrying AND/OR more convenient/cost effective to get married in the US, can you think of few solid reasons that one should choose K-1 over IR-1/CR-1?

The time from filing to interview may be the same, but if you met at anytime within the last two years, you can file the K1 today, whereas to file the CR-1, you need to travel to be together, get married, then wait for the marriage cert before you can file, so that usually adds a few weeks or even months to the timeline.

the only benefit to the K-1 is you can live together for 90 days before getting married. Other than that, the CR-1 is better and a little cheaper for up to the AOS and EAD, but not necissarily for the overall process since you have to travel to your fiance(e) and get married. It is better because they can work right away...where as the K-1..yeah they can work in that 90 days, but you need to have the EAD and AOS after that and getting married. It all depends on if it is important for your fiancee to be married in front of her family or not. Typically if you want to have a big wedding, it is normally cheaper outside the US. In the end, you will just have to talk to your fiancee and see what they think.
