Do they only log the application at the same time they assign the interview date? and would it show as logged if there is a problem and they send an RFE?

I would think they log it as soon as they open it to keep track of what has been done / not done processing wise.

Then again it's like everything else so far - enters in and nothing (either good or bad) until it pops out the other end.

Well the three to four days is certainly a rough guide.. I have already received a response and it seems they dont have the forms i sent.. i now have to search high and low for the post office recipt.

On the bright side i have been told i can scan and email the forms to the embassy hopefully that way i can make up for some of the lost time.

Strangly i feel better knowing they dont have the forms, at least i know and im not just sat here wondering and waiting..

Fingers crossed.

Has anybody waited until they get their interview date before they booked their medical so they only have to make one trip to London?

Doghandler has confirmed that she did do it that way

As long as your medical is booked 7 days prior to your interview then they have time to receive the results

Yea sorry for the confusion i have friends down there i can stay with for the week so would save me a lot of money just making one trip and spending the week with friends rather than two seperate visits.

I think that writing dates does help because it is unbelievable that you have got an interview date when you only sent the packet back a week ago. The embassy are definately working hard. Good luck with the interview!
