After entering on CR1, can the applicant leave the US?

By "application of permanent status", you mean removal of conditions, correct?

You are able to leave the US after entering with the CR1, for a maximum of 1yr without applying for a re-entry permit.

Are you able to come and go freely as many times as you like?

Yes, as much as you like... Hubby entered the US on 10 Nov and because of his job, has left the country over 4 times already... No problems whatsoever

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!
