"I'm a little concerned as our I-797 Letter of Action (receipt EAC-09-50333) says that the Approval Notice is valid from September 9, 2009 to December 9, 2009. Does this mean that both my medical and interview MUST take place before 12/9/2009? I've got my medical scheduled for December 15, 2009 and have not heard about my interview as yet. Does this mean that we won't be valid or have to start this process all over? Or as long as we've communicated to the embassy in time it's no longer an issue?"

The above was an e-mail I sent to the London Consular and my reply was this:

"If your fiance petition has expired by the time of your visa interview, your fiance will be required to provide a notarized statement, indicating his intention to marry you within 90 days of your arrival in the United States."

However I am still not clear - does this mean my fiance has to get a notarised statement to the London Embassy before the 5th December????

I'm starting to panic! :S

Not to worry. It's a standard form response. They automatically extend the date on active cases. :)

So I will still need the notarised statement then, but when does the Embassy need to see it- at my interview or before 5th?

You need to send one of these:

I guess London wants it notorized (?) ... the Polish embassy didn't require that from us :)

We sent it before the NOA time-period expired, although the embassy probably would have accepted it later.
