Hi everyone!! I've stayed away from VJ (and NVC!) for a couple of reasons: firstly I'm visiting my husband in the US and have managed to stay off the internet lol, and secondly as it was just waiting for the DS-230 to be processed I thought there was little to do and didn't want to depress myself, especially as I thought it'd take ages...

I called NVC today and AVR told me that my case was completed on 16th December :dance: I honestly expected to take longer because I forgot to send the photocopies of the orginals and because everything has taken us longer than most on here anyway, so it's a HUUUUGE relief that it's finally over!! :D I called again and spoke to the operator, who said I've missed January, they schedule second week of every month etc and that they'll let me know...

Congratulations to Andrea, Abbie and I think Metro, and anyone else I might have missed as I only quickly skimmed all those pages We're now waiting for the rest of you to join us!!

I bet you had a blast with hubby!!! Congratulations on the CASE COMPLETE. Time for you to I don't think there is really a reason for me to as we are still hoping for my DS 230 pacakge to be sent and hopefully CASE COMPLETE in 2 weeks.

The good news is the $400 shows PAID today and hoping that my mother in law can send it before christmas. OMG, i thought it will be time to relax on Christmas but i think the pressure is getting more and more hoping that there will be no RFE.

Guys, I might be off in VJ for few days and I am looking forward for more CASE COMPLETEs within the holiday season! Goodluck everyone and have a wonderful Christmas!!!

Can i send the DS-230 my hubby signed it but i can sent it to them right? Should i put that its comming from his name or mine?

Urg, they did something super werid, so my case complete is December 4th, whether I like it or not. =[ And expedite request was denied due to lack of proof of deployment to Japan. So, my husband is going to get a letter regarding it from his CO. I hate being pressed for time like this.

I can't believe that they didn't expedite your case. Did you give them a copy of your husbands orders? Are you planning to go to Japan with your husband as soon as he is deployed there? Normally the soldier goes to the base first and stays in teh barracks until he finds an apartment or get base housing and then has his family come over. That is what we did everytime we traveled out of the country with my dad and ex-husband in the military.

WOOHOO!!! Sign in failed!! FINALLY!!

It took us a LONG time to get through the NVC because of needing a sponsor. But finally, after two stupid RFE's, tonight we failed to login to the NVC payment site. Expecting a February interview now, but hoping for January (I know, it's probably not possible.) Man, what a long journey it has been so far, and we still have a couple months more. It is just not right that couples and families have to put their lives on hold and be separated like this.

Hope I'm not jumping the gun on assuming that the case is complete.

Im so worried that ill get AP at NVC after i send my last DS-230 packet next week. How frequently dose getting AP at NVC happen?

How long after sending my DS-230 should i start trying to log in and calling NVC?

I don't think you need to worry about AP in the NVC. Normally that is after the interview anyways. If you get it at NVC, you wouldn't know it. I would give it at least a week before checking the log in.

And the AP thing My cousin i think she is in the NVC AP and has been for a long time. she started her papers I think aroung may or june of 08 and i started auguest 09 and were at the same point now. so idk.

It depends on where you have your interview at. Canada is backed up so I know that they wait for a while to get interviews. Cairo is usually pretty good about giving interviews, but then they don't give you visas immediately. Usually AP/AR happens after the interview there. So I expect to be waiting around for my husband to get his visa.

Congratz Tree, for case complete on 16th of December we have the same date case complete. Now waiting for the interview this February. GOOD LUCK
