Will the employer will hire me even if I don't have ssn yet?

I can't think of a single employer who would, no.

What is going on with your SS Card? (Have you gone back to your topic from the other day to read the responses?) http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=228819&st

Did you file for SSN in your local SSA office or did you apply through the USCIS form? I went to the SSA office last monday Nov. 16 and I just received my SSN card in the mail today. They said it will arrive in two weeks but looks like it came here earlier. I checked the option on my I-130 to let the USCIS apply for my SSN but I learned that it will take ages to get here so I applied personally at the SSA office.

I dont think employer will hire without SSN, if you already applied and havent gotten the card, u can go back to the SS office and told them that you havent received it, they can give u the number first. Thats what we did... hope it helps

If you went to your local SSN office to apply for the number, you can actually go back and get it the next day (number, not the card). The person whose number it is has to be the one to go to the office and ask. First hand experience with this.
