Hello to everyone in the VJ Universe.

I'd just like to share that I'm once again preparing to file for my wife but this time a K-3 since we're now married. We filed for a K-1 visa and were approved in about 2 months, sent it 3/05/08 and got the approval 5/09/08. About a year we had our interview in Bogota, Colombia but were not approved, which I thought meant that my fiance was denied but I would later find out that wasn't the case. 9 Months later and 3 days after our wedding I received a letter from the USCIS saying that we were once again approved for the K-1 Visa and that all we had to do was call the embassy in Bogota for an interview date! But too little too late, we were already married. So now I'm back in the US after a 6 month stay with my wife in Colombia.

So, the first question I need to ask is if I used an address when I filed the K-1, and now I'm currently living at a different location, do I need to notify the USCIS about that?

I'm also still not sure if I should file the K-3 or go with the CR-1, please help me with some advice for this.

Wow - technically speaking, that sucks!

No - I can't imagine you're obligated to and from USCIS's view, you're out of their hands (I presume, unless the case has now been sent back to them; either way).

I'm also still not sure if I should file the K-3 or go with the CR-1, please help me with some advice for this.

You will probably get more responses suggesting CR-1, I would agree personally - for the bit of extra waiting time, the benefits are certainly worth it (in my and probably many other's opinions). Benefits like - obtaining a PR/Green Card shortly after arriving in the US and not having to deal with the expense/time and effort of filing AOS (which you would with a K-3).

Whatever address you use with your current CR1 or K3 visa application, thats the one they will send you correspondence with.
