hi to all,

can anybody please answer me. how about if for some reasons me and my husband decide to divorce before or after the interview. how long will it takes to have the divorce done? if ever that happens, what are all the troubles for me? i mean.... do i still have the chance to come back here in the usa in the future? will it gonna give me trouble if ever someday i need to go back here? im just wondering. if ever we got divorce, are they going to deport me to philippines? or can i stay here and finish process my papers. before going back to phils. i hope somebody could answer me.

thanks, marjolaine

For the divorce it depends on where you live. In California, once the judge approves teh divorce it takes 6 months to become final. If you are a GC holder with restrictions I believe you can lift conditions on your own. If you leave and stay out of the US more than six months your status could become questional, more than a year and you could loose you status.

Whoa... are you for real???? :wow: I hope you are joking.

What? Doesn't everyone plan through their divorce before they even live together?
