Hey all,

I've got $800 US in fees for my interview and I'm trying to decide whether to bring cash or get a bank draft. I read a post recently recommending cash...I'm torn, because I hate carrying alot of cash around but at the same time I can't see having any problems at the consolate if I just paid cash, whereas my pessimistic side could see something going wrong with a bank draft.

Thoughts?

hhhmmmmmm.......upon review of my sons interview letter it says "cash or credit card". Doesn't mention bank drafts at all. I guess it'll be cash then. I have zero trust in cards. Anything that depends on the internet/electronics isn't dependable at all.

$ 800? I thought it was like $455 for the DS-230?

I've never heard of anyone taking a bank draft, is there anything in the interview notification that says how the funds should be presented?

It's $400 US per beneficiary. Times two for me. Who needs to eat.

it was about 5am saturday morning, and at the timmies on 170th st, just before 114th ave, the parking lot entrance doesn't really let you turn left, the center island goes just a little past the entrance, sooooo.....alot of people including me would just make a real slight u-turn to get back out to 170th. Apparently there was so little crime going on in edmonton at the time that a cop had nothing better to do than to give me a ticket for an illegal u-turn. All for a large double double. I HAVE NO REGRETS
