Hi Everyone,

Almost ready to send out my whole AOS package, and I have a few questions:

1) If I am sending an AOS package for my wife (who came here on K-1 Visa) and her 9 year old daughter (who came here on K-2), do I separate all documents into two separate packages, with separate cover letters, checks, etc.

2) What is the fee for my wife's daughter (I believe it's $1,010.00 for my wife, but less for her daughter).

3) Do I need to submit two I-864 forms, one for my wife and one for her daughter who is listed as a dependent? On the form instructions, it says I don't need to submit supporting documents twice, but I'm not sure about the actual form.

4) My wife's daughter has no A number (not on the passport, I-94, nowhere to be found). Some VJers have told me to write "None" wherever it asks for her A number and others have told me to use my wife's A number for her daughter too - any thoughts?

5) Do I need to include any family photos (other than the passport style ones), like in the K-1 Visa application?

Thanks!!!

K

Were you given a checklist of documents to be submitted? You can send both files in one envelope, just use paper clips to seperate them. Go to adjustment of status link for more information.

Photos and other evidence are for the interview, you only need to send the forms and their supporting evidence and the checks.

[/color] I just submitted mine & my son's last October. My package is separate from my son's package. Separate cover letter, check and documents. Placed each package in a folder but placed both folders in 1 big folder and mailed it out.

2) What is the fee for my wife's daughter (I believe it's $1,010.00 for my wife, but less for her daughter).

That would be $600 for her daughter.

3) Do I need to submit two I-864 forms, one for my wife and one for her daughter who is listed as a dependent? On the form instructions, it says I don't need to submit supporting documents twice, but I'm not sure about the actual form.

I just put the exact same copy of my I-864 in my son's package.

4) My wife's daughter has no A number (not on the passport, I-94, nowhere to be found). Some VJers have told me to write "None" wherever it asks for her A number and others have told me to use my wife's A number for her daughter too - any thoughts?

My son has a I-94 number on his form attached to his passport. Just put None. I'm sure when they open 1 package, they would know her daughter is a DERV. of your wife.

5) Do I need to include any family photos (other than the passport style ones), like in the K-1 Visa application?

I did not include any since that would be at the latter part when your wife and daughter go for the interview.

I got my NOA today and my son's as well. So, so far, so good.

Good luck!

Thanks!!!
