My fiancee jus recently had an interview with the consulate in Vancouver and she wasnt denied but she also wasnt given a visa because they requested more information because the border patrol input her cousins info in the system under here name and her police records stated she never got in trouble. Is this normal for them to do or was that their way of denying us the K1 Visa? The lady at the consulate just told her that she needed to bring back the court docs but i dont know seems kind of shady to me when a police report from october of this year shows you that she didnt do any crimes. Is this normal? what usually happens when some one is denied a visa at the consulate do they get some kind of paperwork their or do they mail it? because people that were approved for their visa was told on the spot.

If you are denied they usually hand back your passport and give you a sheet stating the reason why you were denied and tell you that they are sending the petition back to USCIS for further review.

Did she get a paper requesting this information? generally if you are missing something they hand them a paper stating what they need to bring back/ send to them, what does the paper exactly request if she did get one.

It sounds kind of weird that her cousins name was put in her name and doesnt make sence.

It was basically a mix up my fiancee is of east indian decent and her and her cousin have the same last name the screenwas opened on her name and the border patrol that was putting in the info up at Blaine border crossing put the info for the cousin under my fiancee last name. her police check she got from the rcmp was clean though. NO sh did not get anything any type of paperwork or anything from the consulate the lady told her that she will keep an open mind and that she needed to bring the court docs with her cousin names on them to prove its not her. so my fiance has the court docs as well as a record check for her cousin in order to prove that they bp messed up.

So shes got all the paperwork stating that its her cousins record not hers, I suggested getting a statement from the parol officer as well in the PM, that could help too. As long as shes got all this evidence and she turns it in quickly to the embassy they should look at her case again.
