I am sending out my K-1 Petition this week. Just one question though. I have an I-134 andfinancial documents included in my packet. Should I eliminate this? I know you don't need it in the initial packet, but I thought it might be a good idea. What do you all think?

Thanks in advance

Yes, save it for the interview. However, if you are at the stage of filing readiness, you should have already carefully read the guides and filing instructions that come with the I-129F. If you had, you would know the I-134 comes later. There's no telling what else you missed in your preparation by failing to study the instructions and guides. I encourage you to read them now either again or for the first time and check what you've done against what they tell you to do.

^^ good advice.

Don't get too bogged down right now in what you need later. Wait until you send off I-129f and then look more closely at that stuff. There's an unbelievable amount of paperwork throughout this process (Adjustment of status, removal of conditions, potential naturalization) and while it's always a good idea to look ahead, you don't want to get too deep in it so that you confuse yourself.

Naturalization

9/9: Mailed N-400 package off

9/11: Arrived at Dallas, TX

9/17: NOA

9/19: Check cashed

9/23: Received NOA

10/7: Text from USCIS on status update: Biometrics in the mail

10/9: Received Biometrics letter

10/29: Biometrics

10/31: In-line

2/16: Text from USCIS that Baltimore has scheduled an interview...finally!!

2/24: Interview letter received

3/24: Naturalization interview

Also, it appears from the OP's profile that he and his fiancee will be dealing with the notorious Guayaquil consulate. While including the I-134 in the I-129F petition package is not really necessary, the OP would be well advised to read up on the consulate and carefully consider the merits of front-loading his petition with relationship evidence.

Hopefully nuestro amigo TBoneTX will see this thread and chime in, si man.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Very good point. The OP will also want to read the pinned thread about the interview with a Director at VSC, where he is quoted as categorizing the Consular staff in Guayaquil as "bastards".

Front load, with evidence of bona fides, definitely. I-134, no. Very thorough preparation is advised always but even more so with Guayaquil.

Thanks,

Believe me, I have studied up and am not missing anything. I just figured that b/c of Guayaquil as people have said, it is better to put even more than required. I guess I will take out the I-134.

Also, I even have a letter from my Senator to include in the packet. Also, I asked about the presence of the American at the interview and Senator gave me the letter from the Department of state that says " the Petitioner is not required and never required at the initial interview, but after the initial interview a joint interview can be requested if the application lacks proper and sufficient evidence."

Personally I wouldn't go with what a senator or even the Dept Of State told you - not when folks here dealing with it nearly every day are finding the opposite to be true. The senator wouldn't have a vested interest in the outcome like you would (or anyone here). It's clear that consulate is way outside the norm.

Go to the initial interview.
