Thanks mate, NYC seems to be one of the slowest places to file. At least its within the 5 month time frame on the USCIS's site. It's tough not be jealous of those who are done in less than 90 days ;)

Please update my info,

received Oath letter yesterday, 19feb2010, Oath ceremony scheduled on 18Mar2010

case status on uscis website still says "you have interview scheduled", does not show any updates at all!!, this is very strange.

got to admit I was beginning to get a little anxious, Good Luck to all other filers.

Had my interview yesterday at Federal Plaza. Was called to door #1 about 40 minutes after my scheduled time. The interview was pretty quick and routine. Everyone from the secuirty gaurd to the IO's were friendly and helpful. After passing the interview and being reccommended for approval I was given the option to have my oath letter mailed to me or wait for a couple of hours to get it in person... naturally, I waited! - whats a couple of hours after 4months :)

My oath date is April 16th in Brooklyn, just over 5 months from the date that I originally submitted my N-400.

My immigration journey is finallly coming to and end... I can't wait to be an American!

Hey bigbear, a quick question since your case is also handled by the Boston Office. Did they give you the oath letter right after the interview or they mailed it to you later?

Hello all,

Congratulations tsarang for ; and all others for getting their interview letter. Sorry that I did not updated this earlier, I have been busy. My interview went good and fast; I think I stayed there for 25-30 minutes. The immigration officer was very nice. She asked me the list of questions from my N-400 that I answered No ( from part 10). Then she asked me to read a sentence and asked me to write the answer.

The questions for test were:

1. What does the Constitution do?

2. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?

3. There are four amendments to the Constitutution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

4. What is one reason colonists came to America?

5. During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States?

6. I forgot ooops ....

My oath is on April 19. Good luck to thos estill waiting for inteview. It is very easy, I did not study too much, mostly just listened the CD in my car on my way to work or shopping.
