Is this an approval?

Earlier today I got a message saying that my husbands residency card was in production. Yea everything is great and we didn't even have to go to an interview. About 5 minutes ago I got a text saying that the case has been updated and this is what it says:

On November 6, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Does that mean he is still in limbo with his green card? I am so confused. Also what time line are they refering to? The only timeline I find on the site is for the full AOS process. And can someone please tell me what ADIT is?

Means your PR/Green Card was approved and sent to be made/produced.

(Don't worry about the ADIT thing - it's an old term for what we now call Biometrics and a step you have already completed.)

I got the same notice on the 3rd November.. I was happy but they just word the 'approval' so weirdly that we're waiting for me to have my green card in-hand before we go out to celebrate anything, lol. This post makes me feel better though
