Hi,

On the i-751 form for removing conditions of permanent residence, I was wondering whether I should add my wife's English name. Her official name is her Chinese name (she is Chinese) but, because it is difficult for many Americans to pronounce, she often uses an English name (with her normal last name). Should I add that to the i-751 form where it asks for "other names used?"

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Just to make sure I am clear, you are saying that she should include her English name along with her normal last name in the "Other Names Used" field?

Put ANY other names she has used in the past or uses now beside the name you used as her primary name on the form.

Hmmm... and reading it, I would never have included nicknames. And in this case, would his wife's English name be considered a nickname? Regardless, because this is not as straightforward as say putting your maiden name or a name that you have had legally changed, then I would make a note of it somewhere that the name you are listing is not a legal name, but a name used primarily for the sake of communicating better.
