Other than that I am starting a new job on Monday It seems like a great place to work. The pay could be better but it will be great experience and it is a laidback type of atmosphere. The hours are good too. So keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer that it all works out. Let me tell you the job hunt SUCKS and I am so glad to have finally got something. It is amazing to me how many qualifications and requirements they want you to have even a degree for a job that pays $9-10 an hour! Crazy The economy here just sucks I tell ya.

my fiance is BEGGING me to get rid of him before he comes...partly because he is scared of pitbulls but mostly because he thinks it is so bizarre how we treat our animals like humans in America....he does not understand the "bond" in which we have with our dogs....i told him no chance in hell was my dog going anywhere....i know they will be best friends anyways...

Tony still doesn't "get it" and he's been here over 2 years now He can't understand why we treat them like family members! Just last night Harley had just had a bath and I was petting him and cuddling with him. When I went to give Tony a kiss goodbye he made a face at me and turned away He said he wasn't kissing me because I was just kissing the dog!! He's so crazy. My actual lips never touched the dog!

i dressed my dog up as a dinosaur for halloween last year and sent him pictures of it.........he thought that was the craziest thing EVER and was running around the whole town showing those pictures off....and they are STILL talking about it....too funny

Too funny! Tony pretty much acted the same way when I showed him pics of my dog with Santa Clause at X-mas time!!!

Question, please. When our fiance(e)s are sent packet 3, they just return the DS230 to the embassy and then the wait starts for the interview date, right? What do they need to do to return the DS230? I mean, do they just walk up to a window at the embassy and hand it in? Do they speak to someone outside that directs them to where they need to go inside?

when mike went a year ago....he just went inside and handed it off...i thought some ppl were posting saying you needed a appt. time not sure someone who has gone through that part recently should post and let you know what the new way is....

Thank you. I got an email reply from the embassy saying they could not give an appointment because DS230 had not been returned. I don't think they make an appointment for it. I just wondered if there was a specific thing they needed to say or a specific window to go to or something. I know that you can't just walk into the embassy, so I want to be able to tell my fiance what he needs to do and say to drop it off.

I don't know if they've even sent the packet out to him, but I'm not waiting, I know it's going to take long enough as it is to get the interview date.

The plane I took last spring break was broke. We started to fly in the air and all of us said the plane sounded funny. They turned around and went back to OHare. It was scary if they wouldn't of caught the problem they said we would of been toast.

It is quiet -- and so far really nice!!! He called me from the street in Kingston -- I sure don't miss those phone calls!!!!

So, recent interviewees: what was the procedure for dropping of the DS230 at the embassy. Does the fiance have to call or email to schedule an appointment or can they just take it to the embassy? If they can just take it there, is there a specific place in the embassy that they need to go?
