Good morning everyone!

He made it with a little delay. He almost missed his flight in New York. Immigration kept him for over 45 minutes, grilling him with a lot of questions. More than at the Embassy. But he got his stamp, made his flight and is here.

Guess what he is doing??? WATCHING TV.....UGHHHH Jamaicans and their TV. You might think they never saw the thing before...

Lots of stuff to do today so we will be out and about in a bit.

Thanks for everything.

Part II will begin in a week and a half.

WE ARE DONE!!!

Hi everyone...Long time no chat!

I just wanted to say hello and congrats to all the arrivals, approvals and anniversaries! It's so exciting. I'm also posting to let you all know that we are officially moving at the end of the month. We are going to Raleigh/Chapel Hill, NC. We went down on New Years weekend to scope it out and really liked it. We are packing up and driving down to start a new beginning. We ate at a really great Jamaican restaurant and went to a nice market, it was really good to have those familiar things around us. The job search is on but we are taking the plunge even with no offers yet. We've been saving up for this and saving up for a house. Hopefully we will find it all there!

I'm so excited. Well, except for having to change address with USCIS and changing local offices. But at least we're doing it with good amount of time before we "remove conditions" in November.

I'm around so let me know your thoughts.

Peace and love (L)

I Chat card - I purchased this card last night and when I called Jamaica on the LAND LINE it said I had $18.87 and 281 minutes

I spoke to him for 19 minutes and 49 seconds. When I called the number back it said I had $15.10 that figures to 20 cents per minute when they advertise 6 cents per minute. then when I went to call and find out today it said I had a balance of $14.65 which means while I was sleeping last night they took 45 cents from me. I couldn't get in touch with anyone today! I'll try on my lunch.

I'm mad at this card!!!!!!!!!!! :ranting::ranting::bonk:

OMG, The same thing happened to me! I Chat is so teef!

I bought the $10 card and I too noticed a rapid and magical decline in minutes. I will say that at least the card is cheaper than the $1.09 per minute I WAS paying!

Darlene - I am SO happy for you! Best of luck with your journey!

This weekend I am going flower shopping with my sister for her wedding! YEA!

Hello everyone!

Welcome Bert! Hey Darlene,,,enjoy being able to watch him watching TV!!!

Ok, I need to vent

I started calling the embassy at 1:30 today. I called every few seconds until 2:30pm. The like was either busy or you were disconnected when you chose the option to speak to a person and a few calls where there was nothing but static. I am soooooo furious!!! We can only call two days a week now and then you can't get through. I have emailed them everyday this week and no one has responded. I think that the embassy is closed for MLK day so now I have to wait another whole week to TRY to get someone who has SOME information. This is OUR embassy right? Who are they accountable to? I think they treat us terribly. UUUUGGGGHH I am trying not to let this ruin my three day weekend. Ok thanks for letting me share. I hope everyone else has a great weekend. :crying:

Happy Friday!!

This is the email I received today. This appointment is for him to pick up packet #3. Could he use this appointment to drop off the DS230 that he already has? I sent it to him a few days ago. And if so... Will they give him a date for a interview at the same time?? Or will they give him another appointment to come back for packet #4???

Thank you for your email. We have received Mr. Scarlett's file and he may come in to the information window January 18, 2007 at 1:30 to collect his packet. Please advise Mr. Scarlett to take with him this conformation letter of appointment and a valid ID.

Ditto Good luck!! Yes  It takes a lot of guts.....More than I have to muster.....Hubby's thinking about going back to LA to work. I keep looking at the big picture cost...cost...cost.vs comfort $ space. In the end I cannot get excited about moving. Finishing school is the most important thing to me right now, making money to support us, and his daughter is the most important thing to him right now. I'm already enrolled, purchased books everything. He's been told that he can works as soon as he gets his passport stamped. So he's ready to up and leave for LA. :help: I've descied to let him go, well I don't think i have a choice  .... and if the job works out I'll follow later, when if finish the sesmester out...I guess.... I am sooo not happy about the situation. He really hasn't given the job market here in KC a try, so yes I am upset about him wanting to leave just because he wants a "job" and not looking at the big picture.
