Hello

Im just trying to get all my forms completed so i can send Packet 3 back to the Embassy. On DS-157, Q17 it asks you to list all the educational institutions you attend or have attended and list the mm-dd-yyyy.

My question is do you HAVE to list the day as i cant remember when i started and finished high school and other educational institutions that i have attended. Will they accept mm-yyyy?

You don't have to complete DS-157 before sending out P3. DS-157 is not required to set up an interview date.

Write down the approx dates.

Sorry, i am confused. On the link that was sent to me (packet 3) it asks me to return all the forms, including the DS-157 before they will schedule an interview for me??

Yes you do need to send in all the DS forms with packet 3 and for the dates, at least you're sure of the months as the academic calendar is easy to remember, so just just put a date around that timeline. That's what I did and I didnt have any problem with it.

Thank you! I have managed to phone all the schools and they have given me 99% of the dates so result but thanks for your help.

If your consulate asks for it..send it. Not all consulates want the same things sent before an interview is set up. The consulate we are going through also asks for DS-157 before they will give us an interview date. We had the same "date"' problem with Military service. He can remember the months/years but not dates. We filled out MM/YYYY

We didn't think we should just make up the date when it came to his military service, so we didn't include a day. I hope we didn't make a mistake.

How do you know which forms are necessary to send right away in order to get the interview process moving? My packet 3 doesn't explain this anywhere...

Ds 157 is the form that tells u what papers u need to have with u at the interview. The check list. Dont get confused by ds 160 that is the online form. Are two separate forms.
