I had an RFE for I-693 and we sent another transcription but I had td, MMR and pregnancy test...wow I saw the bills that paid by the insurance $304 :wow: . Then we paid $70 for transcription and not full medical examination. So if it was not paid by the insurance we might pay $374 for I-693. :o

Thats pretty expensive! I called civil surgeons here designated by uscis and the cheapest one will charge me $75 to transcribed but hes 2 hrs aways from where i live... the 2 other doctors who is 1 hr away from us wants to do a full medical and wants to charge 300++!! its soo rediculous!!

Is this the RFE you received, "Submit a properly completed I-693, etc..."

The cheapest in our area is $70, but he said I need 2 more shots (and the insurance will cover it) ... so no choice, good that the insurance covered it even it was out-of-network. If not, it's useless to pay $78 per week for the insurance of my husband and I.

Too bad, many Novermber filers having difficulties in I-693. But everything will be fine soon.

Good luck!

Ah, there we go, the RFE arrived today asking for an I-693 with the vaccination section completed.

I've looked over my DS-3025 and it appears (only IMO though) to be completed correctly with all of the required information, so one wonders if USCIS deem that it has not been correctly completed, as to what the actual error is on the form.

I know that this discussion has been had elsewhere on here, but it seems crazy that a civil surgeon copies a DS-3025 and then just signs it off; what on earth does it achieve?

Just got back from having the transcription done, no problems at all. The place I went to was really knowledgeable about what needed to be done and there was no talk of medicals having to be redone or otherwise, and there we're others there for the same reasons.

If it's any help for anyone in the area, the Civil Surgeon was:

Dr. Brian Morris

All One Health

The Summer Exchange Building

101 Arch Street, Ste. 20,

BOSTON, MA 02110.

I had my td shot for free at the base... we just have to worry now about paying for transcribing the DS form to I-693 and finding a doctor who wont rip us off
