how long does it usually take just to get the NOA1?

I sent my I-129f last friday, and after a whole week I haven't heard anything yet. I checked with my bank earlier this afternoon and they said that the check has already been cashed. I've noticed here on alot of the timelines here that some people received the NOA1 within just a few days of sending their I-129f. should I give it a few more days or should I be worried?

You should give it at least another week or two before you get worried. If the check has been cashed, they have the petition. So it's time to sit back and enjoy the wait train.

08/21/2009 - AOS package sent

08/28/2009 - NOA 1 for AOS, EAD, AP

08/31/2009 - Cheque cashed

09/05/2009 - Biometrics notice received

09/23/2009 - Biometrics Appointment

09/23/2009 - I-485 Transferred to CSC

10/02/2009 - EAD Approved (card production) & AP approved!

10/11/2009 - EAD Card received

10/20/2009 - AOS approved, GC card production ordered! (53 days in total)

10/26/2009 - Green Card received - nearly 11 months to the day of our K1 NOA 1!

11/25/2009 - Started my new job!

02/26/2010 - Passed my driving test :-p

07/20/2011 - Eligible to remove conditions

2012 - Going for citizenship

09/20/2011 - Removal of conditions submitted to VSC....here we go...again!

It's been a quick and relatively painless journey thanks to tireless research, dumb luck and this community :)

DONE with USCIS for a while :)

You're not the only one. I sent mine on Monday and haven't heard anything. Though if you can get a copy of the check from your bank it'll have the tracking number on the back so you can track your case on the USCIS website.

I'm starting to think though that the rush of processed I-129F's has left the building and it's back to the 5 or 6 month wait time per normal. :P

04-06-2010 - Submitting the P3 to Consulate

04-11-2010 - Received P4

05-04-2010 - Interview! - Needed more evidence of relationship. :( Emailed pics and email convos one hour later.

05-05-2010 - Approved!!!!!!

05-06-2010 - VISA IN HAND!!!!!!

06-09-2010 - POE - LAX (Official Proposal!!!)

07-10-2010 - Wedding :D

08-31-2010 - Mailed off AOS

09-02-2010 - Packet Received

09-09-2010 - NOA1 Emails - AOS, EAD, AP

09-14-2010 - NOA1 Hard Copies - AOS, EAD, AP

10-04-2010 - Biometrics (AOS and EAD)

11-03-2010 - Email and Text that EAD and AP were approved

11-05-2010 - Email and Text that EAD was sent on for production of card.

11-09-2010 - Email and Text that notice regarding EAD was sent (EAD card, hopefully?)

11-30-2010 - AOS Interview Date

yeahh my bf sent it octuber 14 and is 24.....so u are no the only one

  • 8/29/2009-Trip # 8 (engagement)
  • HERE WE GO
  • 10/14/2009 - I129F sent
  • 10/23/2009 - Check Cashed
  • 10/27/2009 - Hard copy NOA1
  • Jan/26/2010 - NOA2 (96 days to got it, since we received NOA1)
  • Mar/09/2010 - NOA2 (AGAIN CUZ THEY DIDN'T SEND IT TO NVC UNTILL WE CONTACT OUR CONGRESSMAN)
  • May/04/2010 - NOA2 (AGAIN FOR 3 TIMES CUZ THEY FORGOT SEND IT TO NVC UNTIL WE CONTACT OUR CONGRESSMAN AGAIN)
  • May/10/2010 - NVC Received (Finally USCIS really sent it...wooo they didn't forget this time)[/color]
  • May/21/2010 - NVC Putted our file in HOLD (can be serious.....? this is more than back luck.. nightmare)
  • May/24/2010 - NVC Sent it to the Embassy

  • 12/18/2010 - Appointment for Biometric.
  • 01/06/2011 - Biometric Done.
  • 01/10/2011 - Notification CASE TRANSFER TO CALIFORNIA CENTER.
  • 02/11/2011 - EAD card production.
  • 02/16/2011 - EAD card received.
  • 02/18/2011 - AOS Approved.
  • 02/22/2011 - Green Card in hand.

I see all these other people have things like: sent on the 4th, arrived on the 5th, NOA1 6th, NOA2 10th, etc.
