Registered Mail for AOS

I mailed my AOS on the 14th Oct along with a bank cheque for $1010. When I got to the post office I didn't really know which option to post under so I chose registered because that's what I'd have used in the UK. You have to write how much the package is worth but the man at the post office was just about going on his lunch and was rushing therefore never bothered asking me. I have no idea how I'll know if it ever got there as I thought there would be tracking included but there's not. How the hell does registered mail work?

Usually you have to ask for tracking ( at our post anyways you do ) if you ask for " Signature Confirmation " that is also another way to do it and they will give you a tracking number etc usually only a couple of dollars.

Not sure if it was silly but just wait and see how it goes not much else to do now, hoping that it gets there for you

From the USPS website:

"When you’re sending valuable or irreplaceable items through the mail, protect them with Registered Mail™.

Items you send with Registered Mail are placed under tight security from the point of mailing to the point of delivery, and insured up to $25,000 against loss or damage. And you can verify the date and time of delivery and the delivery attempts online."

Did you get a receipt with a number? You can probably use that to track it online.
