I am still at the embassy stage, but I am wondering how you can prove for your AOS that you've got all your immunizations up to date?

Should I get a paper from the "embassy doctor" stating that I've done them all? How does it work exactly? Or do they test you or something to see if you have done them?

When you get your Exam before your interview you will also get your shots. This is put on a form and sent with your passport to the Embassy. The Hosptial will give you a copy of you shots .... Take good care of your copy.

When you get to the U.S. and start the AOS process if your shot records say you still need any. You will need to find a Civil Surgeon (GOVERNMENT APPROVED DOCTOR) to complete your shots. He/She will take the Form you need to fill out for you AOS Medical and add to that with the Shots they give you... completing the record. They will SEAL in an Envelope ONE COPY of the FORM ( DO NOT OPEN IT) this is the copy you will mail into the USCIS with you I-485 and other forms. The Doctor will also give you a new copy with the additional shot you would have received from them (THIS IS for your records).

Hopefully this help you out.

Ok thanks. So I just called one of the embassy approved doctor in Paris. He told me that I need to come with me immunizations record and that they will look at it. So I am guessing that if I have all the immunizations this doctor will write it on the form and then I will be ok for AOS. I sure hope it is true.

Please reassure me, they dont do blood test in the States to test you, do they? I hate having to have immunization shots enough, and blood test for the visa, I dont want to see a needle anytime soon after that!

HAHAHAAHAHA !!! your funny. Keep what the Doctor there gives you for your record. That will show you have had your exam and WILL NOT have to retake the EXAM. Some CIVIL SURGEONS here try to say you need a NEW exam but that is not true (SO DON'T DO IT). They only want more money .. as long as your exam is under a year old it is GOOD.

As for blood test (NONE HERE) you did that there in Paris.

As for shots if you didn't get them all like ROSIE they you will see more needles (SORRY).

HAHAHAHAAHA Paris WOW ... so why are you coming here ... (LAUGHING) I think your husband should be wanting to go there (STILL LAUGHING).

GOOD LUCK

Lol yeah sometime I am wondering why I am going through all this! My fiancé and I were actually living in Paris, but after he was done with school he couldnt find a job here in France, so went back to DC, and so here I come!

Ok, one more shot to go and then I should be all good for a while. At least for AOS.

Do you know what they check exactly at the blood test? Is it for HIV only or for other things to?

And Xrays is for tuberculosis, right? I understand that procedures have to be the same for everybody, but still they should have waivers for certain tests in certain countries.

Just make sure you get a copy of the DS-3025 from the US Embassy panel doctor that you go to. Keep that copy because you need that for AOS, to show that you have the vaccinations required for AOS.

Good luck...

Cheers.!
