Unless for one reason or another they believed he was unable to get married to you this doesn't make sense. They wouldn't deny you based on a paper you forgot, they would give you time to send it back to them. Many people forget a single paper and are told to bring it back within a certain time period. If this is true you should get a congressman to help you out.

I know almost nothing about the EOIR-29, except that you only have around 15 days to file it. Original poster-aries04 - you need to contact an immigration attorney, immediately, and you need your husband's help. An attorney will be cheaper than a deportation.

I agree with JERIII. The Executive Office for Immigration Review must be filled out correctly and a good immigration attorney wil lbe your best choice.

This notice of appeal must be filed with the Office of Immigration and Naturalization Service having administrative control over the Record of Proceeding with 15 calendar days (or 18 calendar days if mailed) after the service of decision of the District Director. It costs $110.

and yes, they can deny you for not providing complete information. Your husband had to report ALL his marriages/divorces

I didn't mean "report" I mean they most likely wouldn't deny you because you forgot a divorce paper at the interview. If he forgot to report a marriage or divorce then he would get denied. Maybe I read it wrong?

Will refiling an I-485 again keep you in the USA and stop deportation proceedings?

As previously suggested a good Immigration Lawyer is needed.

Both -- you are required to

1. inform of previous marriages

2. prove you are free to marry the current spouse.

and how do you back that up? with previous marriage and divorce certificates.
