A warmer world might mean nicer winters in the NE. I can dig it.

This is great news. Now real estate developers can build and get the full potential out of these areas.

Meteorologists here are predicting a milder winter. I'm all for that after last winter.

Or so says the almanacs... cooler summer, milder winter.

All the winters I've had since I moved to the east coast have been fairly mild. From what I understand there hasn't been a proper New York winter in a few years.

Seems to be a trend of cooler summers and milder winters.

They found that the area surveyed was comprised almost exclusively of first year ice.

Scientists think this is significant because traditionally the region has been made up of much older, thicker ice.

So, previously thawed ice is refreezing? Interesting. Lets see what the survey shows next year, since the oceans, especially the Atlantic, are curently experiencing a cooling trend.
